Why I Started Merida.B

Merida.B did not begin with a business plan. It began with a feeling. The feeling of walking into a room where every detail had been considered, where the light was soft, the music was right, and the people inside felt immediately at ease. I wanted to create that feeling, again and again, for others.

I started as an event company because that is where my training lived. But over time, I realized I was not simply planning parties. I was designing moments where people felt welcomed, celebrated, and deeply connected. That is when Merida.B began to evolve into something more, a lifestyle brand built around intentional living and the art of gathering.

My background taught me logistics. Timelines. Vendor management. The mechanics of making an event happen. But my heart taught me the rest. That a perfectly set table matters. That the right song at the right moment matters. That the way a guest feels when they walk through the door matters more than anything on the checklist.

I built Merida.B in Austin because this city understands gathering. It understands long dinners, rooftop toasts, and the kind of hospitality that does not need to announce itself. Austin has shaped my approach as much as any mentor ever could.

Today, Merida.B is an experience house. We design celebrations, curate dinners, and create spaces that feel both elevated and personal. My hope is simple: that every guest leaves feeling as though they have been welcomed into a beautifully curated home.
