A few truths I carry with me into every event I design.

What I Believe About Gathering

I believe the best gatherings are the ones that feel inevitable. Not in the sense that they happened by accident, but in the sense that every choice, the room, the light, the menu, the timing, leads guests to feel like this is exactly where they are supposed to be.

I believe beauty is a form of hospitality. When a space has been thoughtfully arranged, when the candles are lit and the place cards are written by hand, it tells your guests: you matter enough for me to have considered all of this. That message lands before a single word is spoken.

I believe slowness is a gift. The evenings people remember are not the ones that ran like clockwork. They are the ones where conversation lingered, where dessert arrived closer to midnight than to nine, where nobody wanted to be the first to leave. I design for that kind of time.

I believe the details are never small. The scent of a room. The weight of a napkin. The song playing as guests arrive. These are the things that turn an event into an experience. They are what guests carry with them long after the night ends.

Most of all, I believe gathering is an act of love. To bring people together, to feed them, to make them feel seen, is one of the most generous things we can do. That is the philosophy behind every Merida.B experience.
