The Making of a Merida.B Event
A look behind the scenes at how we turn an idea into an unforgettable evening.

Every Merida.B event begins with a conversation. I want to know who is gathering, why they are gathering, and how they want to feel when the evening is over. The answers become the foundation for everything that follows.
From there, we build a visual story. A palette. A mood. A sense of place. I think about the venue not as a blank canvas, but as a character in the evening. The architecture, the natural light, the flow of the room, all of it informs the design.
Then comes the layer I love most: the details. The stationery that greets guests at the door. The playlist that begins before anyone arrives. The way the menu is presented, the candles are placed, the bar is styled. Each detail is a signal to guests that the evening was made for them.
On the day of the event, my team and I arrive early. We walk the space, adjust the light, fluff the linens, and taste the first pour. There is a quiet rhythm to load-in that I have come to love. It is the moment an idea becomes real.
When guests arrive, I step back. My favorite part of any event is watching people settle in, relax, and connect. If I have done my job well, the design disappears and the evening takes over. That is the goal. Not to be noticed. To be felt.
